This effort is fulfilled through many services the Society presents to the Muslim and Arab communities in the Philadelphia area. Established in 1989, the society is administered by a Board of Trustees. The Academy: A full service, accredited, private, 12 year School. Starting with Kindergarden thru 12th grade graduation, Al-Aqsa students follow the codes of Islam, and inshallah, make them part of their everyday lives. (see the link, "The School" for more details) The Society - InterFaith - Community based The Book Store, The Deli, Social Services, Social Events, Youth Program, Sisters' Activities, Dawaa Activities, and Auditorium, and Confrence room. Al-Aqsa Islamic Society Conference Room The Society Conference Rooms can be used for formal meeting and discussions, or even Social gatherings’. This space has also been used as a voting location for local residence and public officials. Many meetings have gone on for hours here ironing out the choices, differences, and common grounds that are always found between peoples of like minds and hearts. Resolution for the common good of all men and man kind alike is a lofty goal, and is often achieved right here at these tables. These elegent sofas have made comfortable the likes of Sheikhs, Imams, community leaders, business owners, and everyday uses too. Formal discussions, informal meetings, Al-Aqsa's doors are open to the needs of it's community, the needs of the worshippers, to answer questions of the heart and everyday life. Coming in through the outside enterance, the leather arm chairs are a nice space for a private talk for two to four people. The Double french doors can be closed for addisional privacy, either for you or from the conference areas.
